Oddbird GSM is a non-alcoholic red from Saint-Chinian in southern France, made from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan and aged for 12 months before dealcoholization. It has the darker, more savory character we want from this style of wine, with blackberry and ripe red fruit layered with black pepper, dried herbs, subtle earth, and a touch of spice. There’s real structure here too, with noticeable tannin, fresh acidity, and a dry finish that keeps the fruit firmly in check and gives the wine the presence to stand up to food.
Why We Love It
This is a red for people who miss the structure of red wine, not just the flavor of it. Oddbird GSM has grip, depth, and a distinctly savory side that sets it apart from softer, fruitier non-alcoholic reds. We love that it stays dry and feels grown-up at the table, with enough tannin and acidity to become even more interesting alongside a meal. Give it a little time in the glass and serve it slightly cooler than room temperature.
Bring it to the table with: rosemary-braised lamb and white beans, wild mushroom pappardelle with Parmigiano, grilled steak with shallot butter, duck breast with lentils, or aged Manchego with quince and toasted walnuts.
